2ndVote is Working to Protect Your Basic Freedoms {Issue: Basic Freedoms}

At 2ndVote we take very seriously our mission to educate consumers in making informed decisions that align their dollars with their values thus empowering them to impact corporate activism.

Therefore, we consistently evaluate how we research to make sure we are doing everything to fight corporate advocacy of radical leftism. Sometimes that means making changes that broaden the scope of our research enabling us to target all things that threaten traditional American values and the freedoms our constitution was written to protect.

This led to the  decision to broaden our issue of the 1st Amendment to “Basic Freedoms.” This enables us to make sure our research encompasses everything that concerns us as conservative Americans and threatens the “basic freedoms” our forefathers worked so hard to protect.

The words of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution establish that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The most fundamental foundations of our freedom as American people lie in the respect of the rights of others to worship as they please, speak what they wish, engage in political journalism, and peacefully protest.  2ndVote is inspired by these words and believes that private organizations should also abide by these words and support these basic freedoms.

The respect for these rights, while not required by law for private organizations, is fundamental to our free society.  When corporations, particularly Big Tech with its virtual monopoly power — and in some cases, addictive products — support or act in ways in which these freedoms are abridged, the foundations of the greatest society in human history are weakened.

2ndVote holds companies accountable for their support of these basic freedoms.  Actions like censorship of individuals such as conservative public figures, forced indoctrination of views inconsistent with religious beliefs, censorship of the conservative press, and support for violent protests are just some of the issues on which corporations will be scored.

This change gives us a wider net in which we can catch more companies involved in woke capitalism attacking the values and freedoms we all hold dear.

Thank you for your support of 2ndVote. We hope you join us in our mission by becoming a member today. We can’t do this without you. As a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit, we need your help so that we can keep providing you with the tools you vote with your dollars. Together we can make a difference in corporate advocacy.
