DuPont is an American chemical company that introduces thousands of new products and patent applications every year, serving markets in agriculture, nutrition, electronics and communications, safety and protection, home and construction, transportation and apparel.

Environment
DuPont partners with the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), which supports cap-and-trade, Accessed 12/15/16.
DuPont signed a pledge to support liberal environmental policies concluding from the 2015 Climate Conference in Paris. DuPont is a member of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP), which supports government mandated regulations, such as cap-and-trade, carbon credits, and carbon capture and storage. Marriage
DuPont signed an amicus brief asking the Supreme Court to overturn state bans on same-sex marriage in 2015. In 2013, DuPont announced its support of same-sex marriage legislation in Delaware. DuPont received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2016 Corporate Equality Index. Education
In a February 12, 2013 open letter published in The New York Times, DuPont endorsed the Common Core standards. According to the letter signed by 73 U.S. business leaders, “We support these new, tougher academic standards that are currently being rolled out in classrooms across the country.” DuPont is a member of the Business Roundtable.
