Full Stack Web Developer – POSITION FILLED

Job Description:

As a 2ndVote web developer, you’ll be joining a growing team of highly passionate and highly skilled experts. You will be maintaining and enhancing current systems, developing new functionality and interfaces, and contributing to tech that we hope will change the shape of the nation. You’ll be creating new functionality for user interaction and engagement, building new interfaces for apps and software, and integrating analytics solutions for business intelligence. Experience in mobile app development/integration is also helpful!

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for product / feature enhancement website projects
  • Work cross-functionally with research and analytics, from start of project to completion, to develop appropriate solutions based on operational requirements
  • Develop intuitive, secure solutions that meet requirements while producing well-documented code and procedures
  • Develop and enhance mobile apps for cross-platform support of consumer and business tools

Requirements:

  • 3+ years development experience; enterprise product development experience preferred but not required
  • HTML5 / JavaScript / CSS / Bootstrap / jQuery
  • Front-end JavaScript is required
  • WordPress development, including template and content design and management
  • Back-end JavaScript or Python
  • SQL development and management experience required
  • Linux Server OS experience and server security protocol knowledge
  • API management and Neon integration a plus
  • Experience working on an enterprise B2B web application a plus

Associate Research Analyst – POSITION FILLED

Reports To:

Director of Research & Data Management

Job Description:

The position of Associate Researcher is the primary touchpoint between 2ndVote and the data and information that comprises the foundation of entity ratings. Associate Researchers use the skills, methods, tools, and resources necessary to locate, identify, capture, and interpret the information that forms the basis of all 2ndVote research. Whether the researcher is using manual searching techniques or automated systems, the information currency that they encounter must be handled with care and attention to detail. The data that researchers collect are almost never uniform in nature and require critical thinking skills to digest and record appropriately.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research thoroughly and honestly
  • Exhaust all resources with each entity being researched to ensure thoroughness for all companies or organizations
  • Understand the research methodology and be aware of when and how it changes over time
  • Apply the research methodology consistently on all entities and projects
  • Record data and information as accurately as reasonably possible
  • Record data and information using appropriate formatting and verbiage
  • Maintain regular and consistent contact and communication with the research team
  • Understand the project(s) that are being worked on and their purpose
  • Reliably meet deadlines for research projects

Requirements:

  • Ability and means to work remotely
  • Associates degree or greater
  • Proficiency with Google suites programs (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong writing skills
