04 Oct Company Focus: Polaris
Many of us are gearing up this time of year and enjoying some of what mother nature has to offer -heading for open water or hitting the trails or even camping in the great outdoors! This leads many consumers to look for options that can make their outdoor experiences more exciting and enjoyable. So, this month we are bringing you a company that prides itself on bringing the best of motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, and all-terrain vehicles. With a slogan like “Think Outside” and some decent scoring, we think you will agree that Polaris (3.84) is an excellent option for any outdoor enthusiast!
Founded in Medina, Minnesota in 1954, Polaris has expanded into an international global leader in powersports. With $8.2 billion in sales for 2021, and over 120 countries served, it is no wonder that Polaris has made such a name for itself. By offering top-of-the-line equipment for almost every type of outdoor enthusiast, Polaris continues to exceed the standard. But how does their monetary philanthropy stack up?
We start off with donations to Samaritan’s Purse and over $200,000 to The Salvation Army – both of which support our life and basic freedoms category. The Polaris Foundation also donated $2,500 to Shoot for the Troops, an organization that uses trap shooting events to fundraise for active duty or deployed service members in need due to economic or special hardship(s). In addition to donating over $200,000 toward environmental conservation organizations, Polaris demonstrates excellent environmental stewardship through their environmental sustainability plan which has helped them reduce their greenhouse gasses, improve energy efficiency, and move towards a totally renewable energy portfolio.
Polaris also offers special Polaris Heroes Advantage programs for active military, veterans, first responders, and medical professionals. To give back, the Polaris Foundation is dedicated to long-term investment in the communities where we live and do business with. The foundations’ primary areas of focus are Youth Safety, Community Development, Environment and Land Access, and Diversity & Inclusion. Considering these things, we scored Polaris at a 3.84 making them an excellent choice this Fall for all your outdoor adventure dreams!
