Conservative leaders are joining with 2ndVote to demand Bank of America come clean on past donations to Planned Parenthood and end all financial support for the abortion giant.
2ndVote’s research uncovered archived webpages listing Bank of America as a “bronze sponsor” for Planned Parenthood’s “Spring into Action Gala” on May 1, 2018 and a “corporate sponsor” for a May 2, 2017centennial celebration.
According to a letter obtained by 2ndVote, Bank of America had previously led customers to believe that the bank’s support of Planned Parenthood’s abortion business was limited to an employee matching gift program.
Equipped with 2ndVote’s research, Justin Danhof of the National Center for Public Policy Research confronted Bank of America leadership at this week’s annual shareholders meeting. While executives initially defended the so-called “matching gifts” with canned responses, they were unable to account for the evidence presented showing the sponsorships of Planned Parenthood’s fundraising galas.
Danhof stated, “If Bank of America wants to spend its investors’ money to fund the abortion industrial complex, it has that right. However, the bank’s direct sponsorship of Planned Parenthood is highly offensive to tens of millions of pro-life Americans, many of whom may choose to boycott the company’s services. And those Americans need to contact Bank of America and other corporate supporters of Planned Parenthood if we are going to effectuate real corporate change.”
Bank of America’s donations to Planned Parenthood fund the destruction of future customers and employees, yet the company appears to be keeping this information from its customers and investors. 2ndVote will continue to monitor this story as it continues to develop.

What others are saying
Documentation released this week at Bank of America’s annual shareholder meeting revealed the bank’s contributions to abortion vendor Planned Parenthood amounted to direct support and not just a matching gift program as the corporation had allegedly informed its customers.”
“It’s unconscionable that one of the country’s largest financial corporations, which millions upon millions of Americans rely on, would be willing to give money to an organization like Planned Parenthood.”
“On its website, the pro-life charity watchdog 2ndVote has published multiple documents detailing BOA and Planned Parenthood’s relationship, including a letter claiming the former “does not make any direct grants” to the latter and documents showing otherwise. Archived websites list BOA as a “corporate sponsor” for Planned Parenthood of New York City’s centennial gala in May 2017, and a “bronze sponsor” of PP-NYC’s May 2018 “Spring Into Action” gala.”
It’s hard to imagine anyone would ever give a dime to that organization knowing all the terrible things that go on there. It’s not about women’s health. It’s about raising money for Democrats and pushing abortion on demand.”
“2ndVote is leading a petition campaign asking Bank of America to cease giving to Planned Parenthood. The petition had more than 3,300 signatures as of Thursday evening.”
“Last week, 2ndVote revealed to the website LifeNews that Bank of America donated as much as $50,000 to Planned Parenthood in 2017; now, newly published documents show that company also sponsored the fundraising galas for the abortion giant in New York City — the same city where more black babies are aborted than allowed born.”
“They sure weren’t silent about this: Bank of America to Stop Financing Makers of Military-Style Guns.”
“Conservative watchdog organization 2ndVote published an online announcement for Planned Parenthood of New York City’s May 2, 2017, centennial gala. That form listed Bank of America as a “corporate sponsor.” The event was billed as a “once-in-a-lifetime gala to benefit Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood of New York City.”
“It is deeply problematic that Bank of America would misrepresent its giving to distort its support for an organization that kills children and sells their body parts for scrap.”
“Bank of America not only has donated to America’s biggest abortion company, but it also co-sponsored its major fundraising event where it presented an award to abortion champion Hillary Clinton. Those are the revelations from 2ndVote, a watchdog group that monitors corporate sponsorship of the Planned Parenthood abortion business.”
“Armed with iron-clad research from corporate watchdog 2ndVote, the Free Enterprise Project (FEP) confronted Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan today over the financial giant’s support for the nation’s leading abortion outfit, Planned Parenthood.”
“Bank of America needs to explain its giving to Planned Parenthood and to the SPLC. Even if these organizations were not radical, their ugly histories with race should make them abhorrent to Bank of America. The company needs to explain itself, at least.”
“Conservative watchdog groups have lifted the veil of Bank of America’s direct corporate giving activities that provide funding to Planned Parenthood. The revelation exposes previous disingenuous claims by one of the world’s largest investment banking institutions, which previously claimed it only matched employee contributions to the nation’s most prominent abortion provider as part of its corporate giving program.”
“According to 2ndVote, Planned Parenthood organizations received more than $50,000from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation in 2017. That number was compiled using information from the foundation’s IRS Form 990s, which show contributions to 40 different Planned Parenthood affiliates.“
