10 Apr Documents Expose Google Manipulating Content Along Ideological Lines
In the past few weeks, 2ndVote has illustrated how big tech companies such as Facebook (1 – Liberal), Twitter(2.1 – Lean Liberal), and Google (1 – Liberal) among others are using their platforms to block out conservative voices. The Daily Caller has now received documentation of Google manually altering special search results, and blacklisting certain conservative sites.
A partial quote from the document The Daily Caller received says:
The purpose of the blacklist will be to bar the sites from surfacing in any Search feature or news product. It will not cause a demotion in the organic search results or de-index them altogether
J. Arthur Bloom, Deputy Editor for The Daily Caller, explains:
What that means is that targeted sites will not be removed from the “ten blue links” portion of search results, but the blacklist applies to most of the other search features, like “top news,” “videos” or the various sidebars that are returned as search results.
Essentially, a significant portion of the content every Google user sees has been purposely altered for ideological reasons.
Google scores a 1 (Liberal) on the 2ndVote scoring system because of their donations to groups such as Center for American Progress, Human Rights Campaign, and Planned Parenthood among others. 2ndVote recommends using the internet search sites DuckDuckGo (3- Neutral) and Brave.com (3 – Neutral) because they refuse to let political agendas get in the way of running a great search engine.
