HRC Now Adding Anti-2nd Amendment Advocacy to Repertoire

The ‘greatest threat to the Bill of Rights’ now has the 2nd Amendment in the crosshairs as, late last week, the Human Rights Campaign issued a resolution to announce its commitment to supporting the efforts of anti-gun advocacy groups.

According to the announcement, HRC appears that it will even be creating new staff positions to head up the organization’s coordination efforts on this issue.

Given that Everytown and Moms Demand launched yet another hashtag campaign over the weekend, this timed aimed at LGBT groups, it seems that HRC will be getting involved with some of the most liberal anti-2nd Amendment groups for this new initiative.

This new direction fits right in with HRC’s continued assault on the freedoms protected by the Bill of Rights and left-leaning advocacy in general.

Interestingly, HRC’s anti-2nd Amendment position stands in stark contrast with an underreported narrative that shows more members of the LGBT community are actually exploring utilizing firearms for self-defense in wake of the shooting in an Orlando nightclub:

Gun shops typically see a spike in customers after mass shootings. But this time, many are seeing shoppers they’ve never really seen before: More gays and lesbians.

The Pink Pistols is a national gun club for gays and lesbians. It saw its membership soar from about 1,500 members on Saturday to 3,500 on Monday.

What is not surprising is the fact that another liberal advocacy organization, HRC, is showing exactly how these groups are dedicated to pushing the entire leftwing agenda, rather than just sticking to advocacy on a single issue.

2nd Vote has a resource to show which corporations help support HRC’s efforts to redefine marriage and undermine religious liberty. Now it appears that these same companies are also helping fund HRC’s anti-2nd Amendment advocacy as well.
