Teachers Allowed To Carry Guns

It looks like Mississippi’s leaders are starting to understand how to better protect students in schools  – allow Teachers to carry guns. Education officials in Mississippi voted on Thursday to remove a requirement that blocked guns in public schools. The move allows school districts in the state to determine their own rules on school security, including potentially allowing some teachers to carry guns on campus. The Mississippi Board of Education determined that the 1990 policy conflicted with Mississippi’s 2011 enhanced concealed carry law, which allows people with enhanced gun licenses to enter premises they would not otherwise be allowed to access with only a standard gun license. Such premises include “any elementary or secondary school facility,” and “any school, college, or professional athletic event not related to firearms.” – See more 2nd Amendment news.
