In-the-News Update [Issue: Civil Safe Society]

“We reject the certified results of the 2020 Presidential election, and we hold that acting President Joseph 1587 Robinette Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States. We strongly urge all 1588 Republicans to work to ensure election integrity and to show up to vote in November of 2022, bring your 1589 friends and family, volunteer for your local Republicans, and overwhelm any possible fraud.” (1)

This is the exact wording of resolution one to the 2022 Texas GOP Platform. Texas Republicans are reasserting the primary issue of Texas v. Pennsylvania, 592 U.S. 2020, since their case was dismissed in the supreme court post-election (2,3). Pennsylvania’s supreme court then ruled that the very change in voting laws that Texas was suing over were unconstitutional after Biden had already come into office (4,5). There is an outright subversion of our right to choose our representatives in government happening right in front of our eyes. Democrats have shifted the act of voting into a new paradigm where meta-games can be played with the law in order to bias electoral outcomes to their favor. This will inevitably lead to the public losing faith in all institutions and should be corrected. Social media continues to ban anyone who says questions still loom large over the 2020 election. Hopefully the leadership in the Texas GOP will continue to bang on this drum when Joe Public can say not a word.
