Lena Dunham pushes for vandalism of ‘Jason Bourne’ ads because “guns”

The anti-gun party is becoming increasingly vocal about their stance on gun control, and movie poster vandalism seems to be their new weapon of choice in order to push their agenda.

Lena Dunham, creator and star of HBO’s series ‘Girls,’ is advocating for people to tear out the  gun images in the new ‘Jason Bourne’ posters.

Guns are once again becoming the villain instead of the people pulling the trigger, and apparently once the guns are gone, the firearm violence will vanish too. A notion that has been tested and failed.

One of the producers from ‘Girls,’ Tami Sagher, originally posted a photo on her Instagram with the caption reading, “Hey New Yorkers, what if we do some peeling & get rid of the guns in the Jason Bourne subway ads. So tired of guns.”

Dunham showed her support and commented (which has now been deleted), “Good idea @tulipbone! Let’s go!”

While this childish, if not pitiful, action is minor in terms of actual effect, it represents the flawed mindset of some members of our society. The mentality of, “let’s fight crime with crime” is the exact reason our country is fighting this issue, and the kind of irresponsibility and immaturity shown by Dunham and Sagher is what fuels the flames.

What the anti-gun activists are missing is that violent people will find ways to commit violent actions whether there’s a gun or a rock in their hands. Criminals and others who aren’t mentally stable shouldn’t be able to own a gun, but firearms in the right hands can save lives.
