2nd Vote, the conservative organization dedicated to connecting corporate spending to public policy, released the annual list of ‘Naughty or Nice’ companies for the Christmas Shopping season.
“As you’re finishing your Christmas shopping for that special someone or making plans for the big day, you can check that list twice and be certain you are supporting conservative values this season,” said 2nd Vote Executive Director Chris Walker.
Information about the companies on the list can be found on 2nd Vote’s website, which scores corporations based on their spending or advocacy on policy issues. Each company is scored on a scale from 1 (Liberal) to 5 (Conservative).
“We believe that conservatives should hold their dollars accountable,” said Walker. “Our ‘Nice’ list shows where consumers can match their values with conservative or neutral companies.”
On the ‘Naughty or Nice’ list companies with 2nd Vote scores of 2.8 or higher are listed as ‘Nice’, while companies scoring between 1 and 2.7 are ‘Naughty’. The list focuses on the companies and retailers that consumers are likely to patronize around the Christmas holiday for apparel, gifts and last minute shopping or travel.
