New 2nd Vote Scores: Party City and Russell Stover’s

2nd Vote has added two new scores: Party City and Russell Stover’s.

Both companies have been given a Neutral rating (2.8-3.2) on 2nd Vote’s scale which scores companies from liberal to conservative based on research of the company’s positions and financial contributions to various public policy and issue advocacy causes. The breakdown of their score is as follows:

Russell Stover’s – 3

2nd Amendment – Neutral (3): Russell Stover’s has remained neutral on 2nd Amendment issues.
Environment – Neutral (3): Russell Stover’s has remained neutral on environment issues.
Marriage – Neutral (3): Russell Stover’s has remained neutral on marriage issues.
Education – Neutral (3): Russell Stover’s has remained neutral on education issues.
Pro-Life – Neutral (3): Russell Stover’s has remained neutral on life issues.

Party City – 2.8

2nd Amendment – Neutral (3): Party City has remained neutral on 2nd Amendment issues.
Environment – Neutral (3): Party City has remained neutral on environment issues.
Marriage – Neutral (3): Party City has remained neutral on marriage issues.
Education – Neutral (3): Party City has remained neutral on education issues.
Pro-Life – Lean Liberal (2): Party City contributes to the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is a member of The International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC). In its 2011 publication, “Eliminating Health Inequities,” The IFRC cited a United Nations report that said, “states must take measures to ensure that legal and safe abortion services are available, accessible, and of good quality.” The publication also recommended governments include family planning in their efforts to eliminate health inequities.
