Planned Parenthood Video Scandal One Year Later

At this time last year, videos were released revealing Planned Parenthood executives appearing to discuss the sale of aborted baby parts for profit. The nation watched in horror as more and more materials were leaked verifying that infant body parts were indeed being heartlessly sold by the abortion industry.

A movement went underway as people furiously protested, called on Members of Congress, and demanded action. Nearly one year later, Planned Parenthood is still the largest provider of abortion, performing over 300,000 of the gruesome procedures each year.

The Daily Caller commemorates last year’s events with the release of an interesting piece detailing the story of a large zoo torturing baby animals for research and the outrage (and quick political action) that it caused. The article raises the notion that, sadly, this nation would see more reaction to animals being mistreated than babies being murdered.

During the ensuing controversy last year, several media outlets helped broadcast 2ndVote’s list of companies who had either directly funded Planned Parenthood or contributed through third party organizations. There is an astonishingly large number of corporations who help Planned Parenthood achieve their liberal agenda.

After this exposure of companies supporting Planned Parenthood was released, several corporate giants disassociated themselves from the abortion provider. These included AT&T Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Co., and Xerox. It is a huge and celebrated victory to see companies such as these cease funding of Planned Parenthood, and we want to see more lead by example. We will continue to hold corporations accountable as we fight for a better America.
