23 Aug The Company Contrast – Marriott International
Each week 2ndVote takes a look at a popular company that scores poorly on the 2ndVote scoring system, and then provides some better alternatives for you to easily align your shopping dollars with your values. This series is called The Company Contrast, and the company we will be focusing on this week is Marriott International (1.6 – Liberal).
Marriott International is an international hotel and hospitality company whose brands include JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance, Moxy, Courtyard, Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Marriott Executive Apartments, and The Gaylord. Even though Marriott owns a large share of the hotel industry in America, staying at one of their hotels undermines your values based on their continuous support of a leftist agenda.
Marriott International scores a 1.6 on 2ndVote’s scoring system because of their corporate sponsorships of HRC, the National Urban League, and the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). They also belong to various state-specific organizations that work to retract our religious liberty. Fortunately, when you need a place to stay, but don’t want to sacrifice your conservative values, there are better alternatives out there. Omni Hotels (3 – Neutral) offers excellent service at all of their locations without sacrificing your values. This company’s neutral stance on issues and commitment to excellent customer service is why 2ndVote has deemed them a better alternative to Marriott International.
