07 Feb The Company Contrast – Target
Each week 2ndVote takes a look at a popular company that scores poorly on the 2ndVote scoring system and then provides some better alternatives for you to easily align your shopping dollars with your values. This series is called The Company Contrast, and the company we will be focusing on this week is Target (1.6- lean liberal).
Target is one of the largest retailers in the United States and the parent company of Shipt and DermStore. Even though Target is extremely popular, buying products there undermines your values based on their continuous support of the leftist agenda.
Target scores a 1.6 on 2ndVote’s scoring system because of its contributions to organizations like YWCA and NGLCC, which both support same-sex marriage. Target also contributes to different organizations that support sanctuary cities. To see all the reasons American Airlines scores so poorly, you can click on their company page here.
Fortunately, when you need to go shopping, but don’t want to sacrifice your conservative views, there are better alternatives out there. Try shopping at stores like Dollar Tree or Hobby Lobby for all your different needs. They are great alternatives to try, without sacrificing your values. Their neutral stance on issues and commitment to their customers is why 2ndVote has deemed them better alternatives to Target.
