Each week 2ndVote takes a look at a popular company that scores poorly on the 2ndVote scoring system and then provides some better alternatives for you to easily align your shopping dollars with your values. This series is called The Company Contrast, and the company we will be focusing on this week is TurboTax (1.7- lean liberal).
TurboTax is a tax preparation software that is owned by Intuit. Even though TurboTax is a popular way to prepare a person’s taxes, using the software undermines your values based on their continuous support of the leftist agenda.
TurboTax scores a 1.7 on 2ndVote’s scoring system because of its support for ACLU, which supports sanctuary cities and is pro-choice. TurboTax also contributes to different organizations that support same-sex marriage. To see all the reasons TurboTax scores so poorly, you can click on their company page here.
Fortunately, when you need to get your taxes done, but don’t want to sacrifice your conservative views, there are better alternatives out there. Try using a different tax service like Jackson-Hewitt, using an individual or even doing your taxes yourself. These are great alternatives to use without sacrificing your values. The options neutral stance on issues and commitment to its customers is why 2ndVote has deemed them better alternatives to TurboTax.
