Each week 2ndVote takes a look at a popular company that scores poorly on the 2ndVote scoring system and then provides some better alternatives for you to easily align your shopping dollars with your values. This series is called The Company Contrast, and the company we will be focusing on this week is Walmart (1.4- lean liberal).
Walmart Inc. is an American multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores, headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas. Walmart is the parent company of many different businesses like Sam’s Club, Vudum and Bonobos. Even though Walmart is a popular place to shop, buying its products undermines your values based on their continuous support of the leftist agenda.
Walmart scores a 1.4 on 2ndVote’s scoring system because of its support for the liberal think tank, the Center for American Progress, which supports pro-choice and sanctuary cities. Walmart also contributes to different organizations that support same-sex marriage. To see all the reasons Walmart scores so poorly, you can click on their company page here.
Fortunately, when you need to do your shopping, but don’t want to sacrifice your conservative views, there are better alternatives out there. Try shopping at Family Dollar or buying your home accessories at Hobby Lobby. These are great alternatives to shop at without sacrificing your values. Their stance on issues and commitment to their customers is why 2ndVote has deemed them better alternatives to Walmart.
