2ndVote readers have sent in some great personal stories about “the good in men.” Please be sure to read the collection we’ve put together and share these stories as we work to correct misleading notion that masculinity is somehow “toxic.”
In honor of the men who embody the values we celebrate, 2ndVote gifting an Égard watch (3 – Neutral) to a deserving man selected from these stories this Father’s Day.
Judy in Oregon writes:
My husband is an amazing man. We have been married 43 years and 10 years in, I had a medical issue that put me in a wheelchair, impaired from the neck down. He stayed when it would have been easier to leave. He found God through it and everyday since then has been Jesus to me and our daughter. He loves me like Jesus loves His Church, His Bride.
My husband isn’t a preacher, he is a hard working truck driver/dispatcher who at 66, still works 45 to 50 hours a week. All of his co-workers respect him, like him, look up to him and know he has the answer to nearly any question. At the end of the day, he still looks at me and treats me with all the love and tenderness he did when we were newlyweds. He cooks, does laundry, grocery shops and a million other things most wives do but his no longer can, all without one complaint or second thought.
Yes, he is provider, protector, hero and friend. He is strong, hard working, intelligent, a problem solver,
and a loving, patient, kind, wonderful husband, father, grandfather and man. He is the best of the best and I love him more everyday.
