Transgender Model Fired by L’Oréal for Facebook Rant Claiming “ALL White People Are Racist”

Cosmetics giant L’Oréal has dropped transgender model Munroe Bergdorf from its #YoursTruly diversity campaign due to a controversial Facebook post blaming “ALL white people” for racism.

The Daily Mail reports Bergdorf only had the role for a few days before posting the following rant:

Honestly I don’t have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people.

Because most of ya’ll don’t even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour. Your entire existence is drenched in racism. From micro-aggressions to terrorism, you guys built the blueprint for this s***.

Come see me when you realise that racism isn’t learned, it’s inherited and consciously or unconsciously passed down through privilege.

Once white people begin to admit that their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth… then we can talk.

Until then stay acting shocked about how the world continues to stay f***** at the hands of your ancestors and your heads that remain buried in the sand with hands over your ears.

L’Oréal swiftly condemned Bergdorf’s comments and ended the relationship with the model:

We support diversity and tolerance towards all people irrespective of their race, background, gender and religion.

The L’Oréal Paris True Match campaign is a representation of these values and we are proud of the diversity of the Ambassadors who represent this campaign.

We believe that the recent comments by Munroe Bergdorf are at odds with those values, and as such we have taken the decision to end the partnership with her.

L’Oréal remains committed to celebrating diversity and breaking down barriers in beauty.

According to 2ndVote’s research, L’Oréal is a Lean Liberal company because of donations to the Human Rights Campaign and support for liberal environmental policies like the Paris Climate Agreement.

I don’t always make claims but when I do I make extremely broad blanket claims about hundreds of millions of people.

Good job Loreal, this hate filled trash should not be representing your company. He needs medical help for his confusion.

At least they had the backbone to fire this hateful sick human being.
Now, back to work, even though I am a privileged white guy I have to earn a living.

I don’t know if she should’ve been fired. I’m generally a strong proponent of freedom of speech.

Though I do also think her use of the words “all” and “violence” crossed the line into assigning guilt based on genetics, which is a path no society should ever go down.

We all have the freedom to speak all sorts of crazy ideas. But particularly when a person is in the public eye, expect that your employers may have different expectations of your free speech because now your speech is linked to their company. When you become a distraction to the business, you become a liability, and it is good business sense to end your employment.
