USAA Drops Hannity, Conservative Customers Drop USAA

The United Services Automobile Association (USAA) might want to start paying attention to how conservatives are becoming informed consumers and making more and more shopping decisions according to their values. (Haven’t they been paying attention to Target?)

This week, USAA set off a firestorm when the company cancelled ads on Fox News host Sean Hannity’s show. The Daily Caller reports that USAA caved to a pressure campaign led by liberals organizations like Media Matters and Buzzfeed.

Ironically, USAA focuses on doing business with military families, a demographic that would logically make up a significant percentage of the Hannity audience. The Independent Journal Review has compiled a selection of Tweets directed at USAA for their decision, including messages from veterans like this one:
