2ndVote’s Guide to Veterans Day Discounts

We also recognize the companies that will honor our veterans this weekend. Many restaurants, retailers, and others will be offering discounts and more to veterans and active duty service members and we thank these corporations for their #STANDwithVets.

Here is how some of the top scoring companies in 2ndVote’s database are supporting our veterans this weekend:

Applebees – 3 
Applebees is providing veterans and active duty a free meal on Saturday, November 11.

Bed Bath and Beyond – 3 
Veterans will receive 25% off their entire in-store purchase at Bed Bath and Beyond through November 12.

Guitar Center – 5 
Guitar Center is offering free lessons and re-strings for service members with military ID and 15% off in-store purchases for everyone on November 11 (10% off every other day of the year for all military personnel).

Hooters – 3 
Hooters is providing a free meal to all active-duty and retired military on Veterans Day and inviting guest to purchase a 2018 Hooters Calendar that will be collected and delivered to U.S. military deployed around the world as part of Operation Calendar Drop.

IHOP – 3 
On Friday, November 10, IHOP will provide free Red, White & Blue Pancakes to all active-duty military and veterans and will be donating $1 from every purchase of a Red, White & Blue combo from Nov. 1-30 to support the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation.

Krispy Kreme – 3.3
Krispy Kreme is giving a free doughnut and coffee to all veterans and active-duty military on Veterans Day.

Logan’s Roadhouse – 3 
Logan’s is thanking all of our brave former and active-duty military members with an American Roadhouse Meal, on the house on Veterans Day.

Michaels – 3 
Michaels offers 15% off in-store purchases all year with military ID.

Outback – 3 
Outback is offering a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage to veterans and from November 8, 2017 through January 2, 2018 every customer donation of $5 or more to Operation Homefront will be used to purchase Outback gift cards that will be shared with military families.

Pilot Flying J – 3
On Veterans Day, Pilot Flying J will donate a portion of its proceeds, up to $25,000, from the sale of 20 and 24 ounce PhilMor travel coffee refills to Wreaths Across America to sponsor a special section of the Arlington National Cemetery on National Wreaths Across America Day on December 17.

National parks: No entrance fees Saturday and Sunday to more than 100 national parks. This deal isn’t only for veterans and military — it’s for everyone.

Museums: Across the country, many museums including the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey, are offering free admission for veterans Saturday. Some also are offering discounts for family members. Many zoos and aquariums nationwide will have free admission, too.

Recreation areasThe U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is waiving day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 2,800 recreation areas nationwide on Veterans Day.
